Yogi x Nigel Cabourn SS22 Collaboration

Introducing Yogi x Nigel Cabourn Spring/Summer 2022, our latest collaboration for the upcoming season. We reached out to the iconic British designer to develop a range of environmentally friendly leather and suede shoes inspired by the military. Fusing the ethos behind both brands, this timeless collection offers a range exceptionally crafted footwear with a high level of attention to detail. Launching as part of our Spring Summer 2022 collection, The Finn II x Nigel Cabourn will feature in an array of seasonal colours and will be available to shop from the 6^{st of} December exclusively on cabourn.com and yogifootwear.com

Cabourn has worked within the industry for over forty years, producing collections that are not only influenced by the fashion industry but also by stories of real people. His work draws inspiration from history, vintage military, the outdoors, and work wear fashion.

“I’m absolutely fascinated and excited by the fabric and details in these functional, comfortable and above all durable garments, which have on the whole, been created not by fashion designers but by technicians and scientists. For me product comes first. The fabrics and trims, the manufacturers we work with are all carefully chosen so we produce the best garments we can. At the end of the day my aim with each collection or collaboration is to create timeless styles that have the quality to last, get better with age and wear and that are still relevant in years to come. The Yogi x Nigel Cabourn collaboration features an adapted version of the classic Finn in three unique colour ways. We’ve developed a textured rubber and cork negative heel that sits upon a luxurious suede and leather upper, available in Moss Green, Navy/Black, Black/Khaki and Black. The design includes a natural hand stitched arrow on the toe panel and the Nigel Cabourn woven label.

The Negative heel draws inspiration from the quirky and unconventional shoes of the 1970’s, these shoes feature a sole thinner at the heel rather than the forefront. This helps improve posture and promotes healthier and deeper breathing.

“With Yogi’s attitude towards creating unconventional designs, this collaboration inspired me to take a new creative approach when designing this collection. Yogi and I agreed that this collection should reflect both brands and we were really interested in creating a range that combines Yogi’s earth shoe with Cabourn’s military influence.” – Nigel Cabourn
