In the hot seat with hair stylist Anastasia Stylianou

We chat with Anastasia Stylianou, an internationally renowned hairstylist who specialises in curly hair. She has worked with some of the biggest names in music, fashion and advertising and has had her styles grace the covers of leading glossy magazines, such as Vogue, Harper's Bazaar and Elle. She is not only known for her immense talent, but also for her creativity.

She also works with fashion houses, such as Chanel, Vivienne Westwood and Fendi, to create some iconic catwalk looks. She has A-list red carpet clients, including Nicole Scherzinger and Ellie Goulding.

Describe your personal style.

Clashy.

What was the first item of clothing you ever bought for yourself? 

A ruck sack. I collect rucksacks from every country I travel to.

Any fashion faux-pas you'd rather forget...?

Fluffy leg warmers you would go clubbing in 

Tell us about the oldest item in your wardrobe.

Dungarees... I still wear the same Dungas since I was like 16, God knows how they still fit. 

What's the most expensive thing you've ever bought, clothing-wise?

Gucci knee high boots.
 
How do you style your Yogi shoes? 

With a cute slip dress.

What do your Yogi shoes say about you?

That I care about the planet.

Yogi was born in the 90s, what were you doing, what were you wearing and what were you listening to back in the day?

Well I was born in the 90’s, and I’m a R&B chick, so I grew up listening to, TLC, Ashanti, Alicia Keyes, Usher, Nelly... 

I would always wear a pair of dungarees, with a cap on backwards, or a bucket hat, and a pair of flowery doc martens. 

This season you'll be wearing...

I’m into linen at the minute. Chic and simple vibes. Silk scarves to wrap my hair in. 

Who are your style heroes? (past and present)

Past - Jlo & Gwen Stefani. Present - Zoe Kravitz &  North West.

What fragrance do you wear?

Narciso Rodriguez Pure Musc.

Which is the best dressed nation?

London... and Japan.
